If you normally buy at 1 std dev from the mean, when its volatile, only take trades at 2 std dev from the mean! More vol = more money!

This is true. You can call up ishares or whoever, and they will either redeem units for cash, or you can pay them cash or the correct basket in exchange for units. Each ETF has a creation unit size you must reach, and charge a fee for doing so.

What if your at a no deposit prop firm with no licenses, you have 3m bp, you are long 120k shares, and it down 10 bucks. Who eats that?

Would be interesting to see a 3rd party report of WTS "own route" fills. Seeing as nothing much is actually .003, its not a bad idea if you have a huge prop firm to tell people to use your in house route and shave a tenth on every share.
