When you send an order to NYSE Direct + and it does not get electronically filled, it then gets re-routed to the NYSE Specialist Book via DOT. To cancel this order you will have to wait for the specialist response to your request for a cancel.

Super montge will display tiered order price and size. With one click you can trade with ECNs and market makers alike. But... if you are not signed up with SM then your quote will not be accessible via Super Montage. AMEX is going to list Nasdaq stocks... not participaing in SM ISLD...

$5 stocks are not marginable under SEC standards. All shorts must be don ein a margin account... ie most people cannot short under $5 stocks. At least this is how I understand it... :)

PDT rule applies to all "securities", but I do not know if SSF will fall into this category. Does anyone know for sure? I will try and find out today.

The 55 is short but do not be fooled. It requires a good amount of studying, relative to the number of pages. I have the 7,63, 55, 3, 4, 9 and taking the 10 in weeks. 7 - a lot of material... aced the options and flubbed the munis...did fine. 63 - studied 2 days and passed... a lot...

what you are speaking of is considered a regulatory violation by the NASD. They do not like companies claiming reps as employees for this purpose. Be careful... you do not want to get registered and then have a permanent mark on your NASD record that prohibits you from getting hired...

Does IB offer Canadian stocks and options to other countries? Or does IB offer Canadians the ability to trade U.S. stocks and options? Is this new? I thuught it was hard to get a Canadian license for U.S. brokers? :)
