David Tice: Dow to fall 5000

"It will never go that low blah, blah, blah" Ya think people in Japan ala 1990 ever thought the Nikkei would go from 40,000 to 7,600? Or, even to 20,000, two years later?

I know last year it re-opened @ 5:00 CST., but if you look at the 2008 CME Holiday Calendar, which is in a pdf form, it says "CME Globex Regular Open", which I took to mean 4:30 E.S.T.

Video of a trader blow up Today, NSFW lol

Ironic that his next to the last post here on ET was in the "What was your worst trading mistake poll thread, where he said: "TOO MUCH LEVERAGE, definitely my vote, which corresponds to having good risk management." http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1652787#post1652787...

    Vista?

Here is something Vista users can do to reduce memory usage by about 7-8%. Notice that transparent glassy-looking frame around the window panes? That's part of Windows Aero, a GUI, and is controlled by Windows Desktop Manager. It shows up as dwm.exe in the Process Tab of the Task Manager if...

Well, I think we are going to need a little more information to be of any real help. What simultaneous programs are you going to be running on this computer? Are you trading stocks or futures, or both? If stocks, how many symbols are you monitoring at one time? How many panes are going to be...

Buying a new monitor (suggestions please)

Well, for one thing the cost per sq. inch for the 30s is more than 2.5 times as much as for a 24". And, some people, regardless of how much money they have, like to spend it wisely.

    Say GoodBye to Countrywide

BAC acquired convertible preferred stock yielding 7.25%, not common stock. Further, I would not be surprised to learn BAC hedged the transaction in order to at least lock-in the yield on the preferred. http://www.cnbc.com/id/20410286/
