5pm, I assume Central

I know last year it re-opened @ 5:00 CST., but if you look at the 2008 CME Holiday Calendar, which is in a pdf form, it says "CME Globex Regular Open", which I took to mean 4:30 E.S.T.

the pick I posted already gives a hint of it, basically just swing which ever way the market takes you..

on wide range days and volatility creates a prime inefficiency...that can be taken advantage of.

the key is to swing which ever direction the market takes you.

Between offsetting signals, the volatility guarantees price seperation...

:)

if its coded for you, you can just set the system on autopilot and sit back and babysit it.

I don't think Bernanke can be blamed for what is happenning.

The closest to this scenario I believe happened in 98 with the LCTM blowup.

In my opinion this is about 10 times larger...

the organization is not as stupid as people make it out to be... who do you think is selling the futures?

its large insti's dumping them to force the overleveraged longs cleanly out.

Cool..

What are your profits targets on this, 1stdev? 2 stdev? And what is your trigger?

Thanks

ImO today's US futures were sold not to force anybody out of anything, it was directly reflecting what was happening on world markets today. The whole thing was engineered on the other hand to happen on a day when nobody can get out of their stock positions, but that is another matter. Futures had to be sold today for various reasons including hedging.

Tomorrow could well be a bloody day for US stock market and others of course.

this is unequivocal, with my newfound cme knowledge!

thanks again, ammo.

You might want to unequivocally check with your broker, 'cause mine says CME Globex re-opens @ 3:30 C.S.T.

In my humble opinion it is a question of value. The value of 1.2 Trilliion dollars of derivatives tied to US real estate.

That number is up in the air....

Not a good thing, because there doesn't seem to be a catalist strong enough to be able to bring that number in anytime soon.

I would double check redundancy in your order routing system, lot of systems will break down secondary to volume.

So have backups onhand...whether it be phone or other means..
