    ES Journal - 2019/2020

I am in Chiang Mai. I've been here on and off for over 2 years now. Day trading at night is not ideal that's for sure. I came here originally to minimize my expenses while learning to trade. Was a great choice and highly recommend it to independent types.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

I haven't touched ES since summer time. Been all Oil and oil sector stocks for me. Learned to stick to what works for me. This thread for sure was fun though when NQcurious was posting and it was more active overall.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Seriously... This used to be the greatest financial thread on the Inter-webs... Did everyone go bust shorting ES? or is everyone swing long ES sitting on the beach living #forexlifestyles?

    ¿How to properly spot S/R?

How to stop predicting the TOP

If this is the case, then how come GOLD is responding to resistance levels from 2011-2013 in the Now?

How to stop predicting the TOP

Take the red pill.... Forget about news, fundamentals, tweets and trade only based on charts following how other players perceive the situation and reacting only to what you see. Take the blue pill.... Blame everything on news, twits and false moves / manipulation. Praise TA when right, blame...

    ¿How to properly spot S/R?

To be honest, I missed it. Did not have it marked in advance. The level is even more obvious on a 4 hour chart looking at it now. I am not a fan of these middle of the PA levels. Easier to trade the extremes IMO.

I've stopped using crazy leverage myself as well, and my performance is much better and more consistent now.

    doom

This is true but the majority of the public are not in leveraged instruments so the points don't count, its all about %. If you are in SPY a 50% drop is a 50% drop in your account, no matter if SPY is at 150 or at 330.

    Markets are impossible to predict

I say forgot indicators. The MACD I used is just to illustrate what slowing momentum looks like which you can easily see in the price bars themselves. Pull up a chart for a few markets that you like to watch and look at what happens to price. Try to see if there are any hints to the left for...

    Markets are impossible to predict

Like I said before, it is up to you what you want to believe. I am not here to argue about whether technical trading works or not. You said its impossible to predict moves in the market and I posted some examples of how I would use my method to capture possible moves. If you think that I am...

    Markets are impossible to predict

You need to study the charts yourself to determine where your premise for a trade is really wrong and what price has to do to invalidate your premise at these levels.

I swing trade leverage oil ETF's... no problem. Just dont hold on to your losers eh.

The Zurich Axioms is a good short read.

    Markets are impossible to predict

Here is another example... Keep in mind this is hindsight and I dont trade Natural Gas but just to show that charts all work the same, doesn't matter the instrument. Again weekly level from the past that has not been tested: Your 4 hour chart showing a slowing of momentum, visible in your...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I think the obvious is to interpret whether current price is high or low vs where it was in the past Day, Week, Month, Year, Decade... That way you can buy low and sell high when those opportunities present themselves again.

    Markets are impossible to predict

I tried using the constant volume bar charts before for intra day in the past. I am not good at day trading so I stopped. Time charts with no volume works fine for swings. Never ever looked at volume in the traditional sense. IMO everything you need to read what other market participants are...
