    Short Stock Borrow Fee (Schwab)

No Mistake. GME short rate currently is around 35%, but was around 100% recently. Assume it was at an average of 80%. That would mean you would pay about $51 a day, or about what they charged you. You can see borrow rate history through this app that scrapes IB's borrow rate IBorrowDesk

    Are NANOS options available yet?

Doesn't look like it. When they first came out, the CBOE listed the following retail brokers as offering them. Interactive Brokers, Webull, TradeStation and Tradier. NANOS Index Options (cboe.com)

    Surprised I Didn't Get Assigned

Yes, options that expire at least .01 in the money will be automatically exercised. But the holder of the option has until 530pm et (some brokers may have earlier cutoff times) to override this automatic exercise. If the stock is trading below the strike after hours, it may make sense to...

    CME IOM Membership

The only way to reduce your fees in the SPX as a customer is through the CBOE's frequent trade program explained here Frequent Trader Program (cboe.com) Basically if you are trading over 10,000 contracts a month, they will give you 3% back (with a higher rebate over 50,000 contracts.) There are...

    Larger version of VIX options

Not arguing with you here. Just pointing out that VIX options are not technically options on the VX futures (as you mentioned). They are options on the index itself. This was a very important distinction the CBOE made for regulatory reasons. Yes, they will correlate to that particular months...

    Larger version of VIX options

Bob, The way I have always understood it, the VIX options aren't options on the VX future. They are options on the VIX index. Both will settle for cash and you can use the VX future to hedge as they settle to the same thing (although cross margining is a problem as you mention). Similar to...

    Markets closed Monday

Sorry, not my intention. My post originally, just pointing out the market was closed Monday. I hadn't realized it until this week. The thread seems to have taken a life of its own.

ZIM - Outrageous yield for a shipping stock

The big March dividend was considered a regular dividend, so no option adjustment https://infomemo.theocc.com/infomemos?number=50158

ZIM - Outrageous yield for a shipping stock

There have been some great dividend plays here as even the recent $17 dividend was considered a regular dividend, so no option adjustments.

    Are NANOS options available yet?

Yes, they have been trading for a while now. Not a great product as markets are very wide and most brokers will charge standard commissions. This combination makes it very hard to make money. Note that IB at least charges a reduced rate of .065 per contract (instead of .65)

    Decent prop firm fit?

With a Portfolio Margin account, you could get 500,000 of buying power if you had the minimum required of around $110,000 (different brokers will have different minimums) This way you would be a customer. You wouldn't have to split profits; you wouldn't need any special license as you may with...

    Options market: quote-driven or order-driven?

I have found recently that everyone doesn't see the same order book. I had always thought in the options market you could see the best quote and size for each exchange. Apparently for a price you can also see depth of quotes (for non futures equity/index options such as SPX options on the CBOE)

do the daily SPX cash settled options also expire at 3:15?

FYI, Interactive Brokers does offer access to this curb session.

do the daily SPX cash settled options also expire at 3:15?

The curb session started fairly recently. I think the CBOE was trying to match trading hours with the SP futures. Why you don't have access really depends on your broker. Mine is working on it, hopes to have access in a couple of weeks. Haven't tried IB yet, they offer access to the overnight...

do the daily SPX cash settled options also expire at 3:15?

Expiring SPX PM settled options will stop trading at 3pm ct. The non expiring ones will continue to trade until 315pm. Note that a "curb" session will also begin at 315pm ct and these options will continue to trade for another 45 mins, although most brokers don't seem to allow access to this...

I just got hit on early assignment (NutFlix)

Professionals will exercise a put mainly for interest rate reasons. Your put was trading with almost no extrinsic value (the corresponding call is trading at 4 cents.) The 330 put is trading around 140. This means that for every put a trader has, it represents a debit balance of $14,000 that...
