We didn't have chess coaches where I come from for christ-sake.
They would have probably gotten beat up by the white kids runnin' with the homies.

I've never lost though. Well maybe a few times.

That's why I like trading so much, I can't win all the time.

My 7 year old student would whip your ass. Play in a tournament and you’ll know how much you suck.

Chess coaches were rare when I played as a kid. Scholastic chess wasn’t organized as it is today.

Everything is competitive for kids now. Chess, math, science, etc. I don’t see it as progress. I help where I can. Not everything is about trading and making money.

The funny thing about this thread is all the obvious prejudice and the inability to connect the dots to say "hey, if I am this way, and many people also think this way, is it possible that we may in aggregate, mistreat a certain type of person?"

That connection seems to be missing. But I think some of the smarter guys will read and think twice...
