    Help needed - I overtrade after 11am

Not quite the same, but reminds me of a full time trader I spoke to only very briefly a while back. He would simply take 1 full ES point with 30-50 contracts and then he was done no matter what. Usually, within the 1st hour. If he took a loss, he would carefully assess if he should do another...

Not really. I don't use daily loss limits any longer or fixed stops. It's the first time I've been liquidated externally by my broker and I did have a hard disaster stop in place just below where I was liquidated. In fact - I need to talk with them to clarify what happened as by my calculations...

Largest daily loss and daily win on the same day today. Wild ride. Bad luck and good luck on the same day. ;) Flattened near the current high and very glad to live another day. I was not aware I had hit my margin limits, so was auto-liquidated the full position close to the LOD. Re-entered a...

Interesting. NQ new highs on the day and nearly green. Will ES follow...?

A V so far. Almost back to the Open. Looking for a pop above, but may not get much more today.

Last week's close / low @ 49. Not looking good for the long side if we can't find a bid here...

Let's see if we can print 4490 today. May pull back some first, but not much below the current LOD if higher, IMO. :)

29 turning 30. 11 years of trading. First profiting year Journal 1

Care to elaborate? What was the issue? Too volatile for your trading style? I've heard others on the forum praise it as a good trading instrument, but personally I have no experience with it. What futures do you trade then?

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

I think a lot of Rick's comments are written tongue-in-cheek and people always take them literally. @Overnight Since you always seem to be buying tops - why not stop doing that? Buy on dips instead...? Don't blame Rick. Every trader needs to assume full responsibility for their own actions...

4480 by the Close looks just about right.

49.25 = last week's close. Only down 11.75 points on the week at this point. Are we really going to see 9 days in a row making lower lows...? Not my main bias, but wise to keep an open mind.

Moment of truth here. Seems heavy. This market just don't seem to find a bid lately... I was anticipating at least a pop / counter move higher today, but looks like it could flush lower, too. Buy zone for me here around 30, but ready to change my mind quickly. :)

Curious about that, too. Contract roll-over and liquidation of open positions could be a factor as well. I imagine MMs might want this higher by week end.

Up Week or Down Week - good for a bounce here, IMO. 30-40 to 60.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Everyone waiting for the bounce? :) 7 Lower Lows in a row without taking out the prior day high. That's a first in the last 6 years and I imagine quite rare with a longer lookback period, too. Seems very controlled so far. The last time we dropped around 130 points it happened in 2 days. Now...

Flat @ 70.50 for a quick + 17.00 as I have to be somewhere. Let's see if that was a mistake or not. I have support at 67, but could quickly drop back to my entry, too, even if higher on the day.
