    Statins

Actually the dialogue I posted was simply facetious. When I had my annual earlier this year, the doc asked if there were any issues. I told him I had some thoracic discomfort which I was pretty certain was muscular. We did an x-ray to check the spine which showed no issues. He wrote a...

I get them as well. My doc has me bring in my machine and looks at the stored readings through time and then checks current readings on both the office machine and my own which actually reads slightly higher than the office one.

Hypertension is a real threat. It is something that can be self-monitored and moderated with lifestyle controls but it's important that it is controlled. "whitecoat" hypertension readings in a doctors office are not uncommon, if that is the case, the wise thing is to buy a monitor and test...

I agree that the risk is small (but never entirely known) with the anti-inflammatory's but over the years of training and study, I have a good idea when it's time to go see a professional and when it's time to let nature and self administered healing take course. I am not anti medicine but see...

Hopefully Tim McNair also paid attention to the work of Santa Cruz, Taylor, Collings and other guitar makers as Martin itself has gotten a bit flabby from time to time over the decades.

Doc: Nice contusion you have there. Back off training as it heals, here is a prescription for a stronger NSAID which should reduce inflamation. Patient: Won't it heal on it's own and couldn't the NSAID damage my stomach and liver. Doc:Well yeah but I have to do SOMETHING.

Yep, good to keep it active while being careful about working through pain and risking further injury.

Ross Hooks (or other patterns) entries based off of stop loss distance

I have a limit as to stop loss. If I can't stop enter into a trade within that limit, I will put a limit order once the signal triggers. It fills or it doesn't (i pull the order if it goes to my break even point without filling). If it happens a lot, you may want to look at a lower time frame.

    Cissus quadrangularis

BTW, I remember Al Salazar's running career from the 80's. He drove himself to inhumane levels of physical stress. I remember watching him train and race and thinking, this has to be dangerous. He wasn't the most talented runner out there but he willed himself to endure unreal pain. He also doped.

Yep, there is no way to control for all the potential confounds in a study of human performance or behavior, be it Pekelo or a room full of PhD's in a lab.

    Cissus quadrangularis

I have yes, it can be hard to separate causation from coincidence but we know that running over 20 miles at a time has a destructive effect on the body, recovery is the issue. Early on, I wanted to train for and run marathons but my knees were not on board with the program...early warning...
