IB Charges $79 to Access Nasdaq Level 2. Most other firms charges between $10 to $30. Can anyone tell what is special about the the Level 2 provided by IB to justify higher fee? More complete list? Handy? Multiple Level 2? In real tick's Level2, one can even see market depth and market makers...

I watched prehour activities all morning from 3 am to 9am ET. Execution went through as early as 3:15 am. But the spread is quite high in the istinet. It is more liquid after 7am. Thanks all for your responses.

New to IB and tried to trade (just to test the system if it works) as early as 3am in the morning. But the order did not go through both at the bid or offer price. What is the earliest actual trading hour at IB? Their web page mentions exchange hour for instinet is 3am to 6:30pm....

How the profit and loss are calculated in Interactive Broker's TWS? Is that based on trader's actual buy/sell price?? Datek has streaming value change but it is useless as it is based on previous day's closing price. I am looking something that provides the P/L values based on my actual...

Anyone have any information about the extended trading hour schedule with Interactive brokers? There are exchange hours listed in the web but that varies with ECNs. I am not sure if one can trade during these exchange hours! Any IB traders can reply my query?? Thanks.

real tick is great software so far I realized. It would be even great if price of software is reduced by 1/5th.
