here is a quality thread cause others are quiet

First, what does account size have to do with anything? All an account does is provide the margin necessary for the markets you plan on trading simultaneously. It has nothing to do with risk capital available, other than being funded by it. And if you were to use a silly 1-2% rule it should...

Why was the lowering of the fund rates so powerful?

What do you expect from journalists and long-only fund managers? Then once they get the cut the mantra will be "don't fight the fed", and this is where it gets funny, at least if you look at the last few cycles which are shown on the attached chart. I have to apologize for the crudeness of...

First call using ES, 1481 close to 1442 low. Second call, 1482 close to 1432 low. But this is a pointless conversation for many reasons. First, he didn't trade this or anything else. For argument's sake though let's assume he did. Under that scenario we still don't know where the trade...

Yeah, and after that call failed he called it again and then the big dump came.

Agree with you on the above points. I was just pointing out BS, and there was ample amounts in his posts. First, he missed the VIX divergence when the indexes made new highs prior to the selloff. It was pretty glaring too, and something I pointed out in previous posts. I also posted a...

A nice reply? You made a cheap insult regarding my intelligence, called me a 'lost cause' and then ran away with your tail between your legs by putting me on ignore. Not to worry, pretty soon school will be back in session and you'll have to do your homework instead of playing the fool on...

You gotta be kidding me. This guy makes a "call" and the S&P moves 60 points against it, then rebounds to hit a 30 point objective. Then he's called on it and says, oh, I used options. And you think this is credible? Is it any wonder the liquidity pool is never at any risk of a declining...

Oh, you keep on risking 60+ S&P points trying to make 30....it will take you far.

Yeah, I know what a call is as I trade options quite a bit. Funny thing is you never mentioned options until I called you on the lack of stops, or any other details on your alleged trade. The world is filled with losing traders who still think they know best, and obviously you are still a...

No, it's monopoly money traders like yourself that turn these forums into what they are. As for facts, you haven't posted any yet nor have you posted any charts illustrating your alleged facts. As for stops, who cares if the S&P moved 60 points against your "calls". Gosh, that's only...

The only person that matters when it comes to making money off your posts is YOU. So far though you haven't given any entry points or stops, and the last time you called a bottom the Dow lost 286 the next day with the SPX/RUT breaking their recent lows. Stats are like theories - they...

I think you'll find that using various stock indexes to confirm each other is a flawed approach, at least when it comes to the bigger picture stuff. For example, in 2000 the Dow peaked in January while the Naz peaked 2 months later in March.

It's not a timing chart....it's a warning chart. Price always (and only) provides the timing. Plus they are not aribtrary, they're just what the market(s) has done. 99.9% of the time it tells you nothing or simply confirms the current trend, but every few years it provides an early warning...

    A bad week

There is never any reason to take "big risks" as you say, and this is certainly not the way to make money in the markets. Perhaps once you trade real $ you will begin to understand this concept better.

I'm not in the top/bottom picking business but you might find this chart of interest. I first started presenting this chart a couple weeks ago because it looked like we were entering a "window of opportunity for change".
