A simple suggestion, to those who still lack confidence in trading, if you're afraid of losing your cash for coins, then use Bitcoin ATM to keep your coins n cash sync. It's an easy solution for users of BTC.
I can't rent you space - you would overhear too much. But there are some offices next down and downstairs from me. Maybe we can meet. Give me a call 312-450-4851
Hi sjfan,

I admire your knowledge about the buy-side of the asset management field. I am a college student, a sophomore, and I am trying to get my foot into the hedge fund world. So far I have managed to upkeep a 4.0GPA, and I have applied for many internships and internship development programs for several asset management firms (Investment Banks, etc.). I haven't had much luck with the headquarter internships, and after many phone calls I still haven't had much luck.
I thought that maybe you would be able to give me some good advice or perhaps recommendations for me to have better success with getting my foot into the hedge fund world. I currently go to UNC Charlotte, and I am planning on transferring to either UNC Chapel Hill or Columbia University, which will help with the process. But I feel that for hedge funds it takes a little more than good grades and a great school.
If you could help guide me into the right direction, I would more than greatly appreciate it.

Is day trading worth it? It's a meaningless question but the banter in the thread is quite entertaining. What would happen to this site without its MVPs, dbparrot and NoDuhgee? It wouldn't surprise me if Baron has nightmares about such a prospect.

Some sad chess news: The Millionaire Chess tournament in October is in jeopardy. As of March 24, only 65 people have preregistered, with 1500 being needed by end of March to secure the event. A friend of mine who knows GM Ashley told me that the casino insisted on the early entrants in order to get the convention hall for free. Chess players are the biggest cheapskates I know. Most are broke, and it does get a bit tiring to keep picking up the tab at Denny's for the group that I meet. It was unrealistic to depend on so many to shell out $1000 far in advance of the tournament. Looks like another opportunity lost for US chess.
