I am presently reading through dbphoenix's SLA threads (I'm on 'Son' now at page 112; finished the 1st thread), and I'm creating a journal, or extract, of the threads as I go (93 pages long so far, plus a Table of Contents that has slipped into a 4th page.) I've appreciated your contributions to 'Son'.

Following these threads is complicated by the fact that most of the charts db posted to illustrate his points have been removed. By any chance, did you make a copy of db's posts (with the accompanying charts) at the time the threads were being created? And if so, would you be willing to email them to me?

I am contacting you because you posted a really interesting message about using Python for developping automated trading strategies.
I am beginning in that field and I though that I would ask you a few questions and maybe you would be kind enough to answer me or guide me.
- what data feed do you use? I heard Nanex is great. How easy is it to decode their feed in Python? Do you use IB feed? How do you decode it on Python? Do you have to run TWS? Do you know where I can find a sample script that shows how to receive real time feed on a multitude of options and futures instruments.
- For the hosting, do you have a recommendation of good proximity hosting close to CT?
- for the market access, did you code in Python for sending orders in Fix protocol through the gateway? Do you have any idea of the latency between sending orders through the TWS API and the fix protocol?

hello usman. You seem to be familiar with trading laws in Pakistan. Could you tell me that a Pakistani can trade using Interactive Brokers or not (legally). What are the tax and other legal repurcussions if a Paksitani citizen with a Pakistani bank account wants to trade using IB account ? Thanks

Nice to e-meet you! Been reading your comments on Nadex. I find them interesting and informative. I wondered if Nadex still captures your attention or if you've moved on to bigger things?

Me? I've been a member of the eLiteTrader forum for over 11 years and i mostly trade leveraged ETFs.
