Zimmerman's Bloody Head

Quote from pspr:

Oh, I get it. That's a pretty heafty gun to carry inside your pants, though. Do you have extra pairs of pants for when you carry and when you don't?
I almost always wear the holster under my belt but outside my pants. I only own one pair of pants large enough to carry inside the pants.

I noticed a couple of comments about .45 ACP recoil. I've owned a Colt .45 for over 25 years and I've never considered the recoil to be the least bit difficult to manage. Even when rapid firing. Now with the lightweight 3" barrel model I have now there is considerable muzzle rise. But the recoil itself is not the least bit tough on the hands.

3-actions to fire with Lucrum's gun...

1.1) Suck in gut..

1.2) Lift belly with left hand...

1.3) Draw weapon

2) Aim

3) Fire

:D

Actually I only have to raise my shirt (with my left hand), draw, point the laser and fire.

Today during his bail hearing, George Zimmerman issued an unwanted apology to Trayvon Martin's parents. Zimmerman said: "I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am, and I did not know if he was armed or not."

Zimmerman is essentially trying to elicit sympathy from the judge, potential jurors, the public and Martin's parents. Also, his lawyer is attempting to humanize him. If Zimmerman actually thought the 17-year-old Martin was an adult, then perhaps he had a reason to fear him.

But, is Zimmerman telling the truth? Zimmerman is 28. Today he said he thought Martin was just a bit younger than he. But during a 911 call made moments before Martin's death, Zimmerman said he believed that Martin was in his late-teens. Thus, Zimmerman was pretty accurate about Martin's age. The audio tape of the 911 call appears below this post.

"The woman said she offered to drop the papers off the following day, but Zimmerman became upset, took her cellphone and shoved her. A fight ensued, she said, and her dog bit Zimmerman's cheek.

Zimmerman filed his own petition the day after his ex-fiancée's, in which he claimed that she had been the aggressor in the fight."

I don't see that age has much to do with it, so not sure why Zimmerman brought it up.

Martin was big/strong enough to beat him up. That about says it all.

I still don't get the part about being jumped by Martin though.

If you follow someone because you suspect he is a criminal, do you walk up to him (the alleged verbal exchange overheard on Martin's cellphone) and then afterward turn your back to him? Once you see that he has seen you, why would you let him out of your sight?

Well, the description of events that I posted doesn't have him turning his back on him. It has Martin hiding around a corner waiting for him.

If that is correct, then Zimmerman was probably a bit startled to come around the corner and find Martin there. He reached for his phone and got hit in the face.

IMO, this really does sound like a situation where a guy was trying to keep track of someone until police got there. He didn't expect that Trayvon would be hiding around the corner. The situation just escalated from there.

I try to show how George Zimmerman change the stories.

Zimmerman: "I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am, and I did not know if he was armed or not."
"But during a 911 call made moments before Martin's death, Zimmerman said he believed that Martin was in his late-teens."

This for example too.

"In 2005, according to an arrest report, a state agent arrested Zimmerman for battery on a law enforcement officer and obstructing justice. According to the report, agents with Florida’s Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco division were arresting several employees near the University of Central Florida.

Agent Paul Fleishman wrote that Zimmerman walked up to a pal under arrest and began chatting, refusing to leave. Zimmerman cursed him, Fleishman wrote, before pushing him and causing a “short struggle.”

The charge was later dropped when Zimmerman entered a “pre-trial diversion” program, which is not unusual for first-time offenders. The program usually entails paying fines and taking classes for anger management.

Zimmerman — in applying to enter the citizens’ police academy — later disputed the official version of the event, insisting that the agent never identified himself. “I hold law enforcement officers in the highest regaurd [sic] as I hope to one day become. I would never have touched a police officer,” Zimmerman wrote.
