Zimmerman - NOT GUILTY!!

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

I find it hard to celebrate our legal system when we have just watched the state of Florida try to railroad an obviously innocent man to jail for most of the rest of his life, all to placate a bunch of thuggish race hustlers, starting with the president of the country.

We saw the state's prosecutors repeatedly violate elementary legal ethics as well as their duty as prosecutors. That duty is not to get a conviction at any costs, but to see that the truly guilty are prosecuted. Their entire case was a blatant appeal to emotion and, sublimally, to white guilt. Their case rested on zero evidence, but wild speculation about what "really" happened. Even their own witnesses make a mockery of their case.

As for the judge, she is a stunning disgrace to the judiciary, even in a state with such an apparent low bar as Florida. Her bias was so raw and evident that even a former prsoecutor like Great van Sustrand eviscerated her. The bias was pervasive and non-stop, culminating in a bizarre interrogation of Zimmerman that left veteran trial lawyers speechless.

The sole saving grace was the jury. I have to apologize for my fears that these six women would be too emotionally shaken or cowed to do their duty. It no doubt helped that five of the six were either gun owners or had close family who were. Instead of being emotionally driven weaklings, these women apparently knew the reality of life in a tough neighborhood and applied it and not the fantasy version being pushed by the media.
Post of the Day, AAA. Good job.

The law didn't do that, the people did. There is a difference. I don't celebrate the politicians in our system of law, I celebrate the law itself. The law itself is not a person. The law on it's own does not have an agenda or a political motivation. The people who manipulate the law do.

Let me put this another way. The politicians tried to manipulate the law, and the law won. That gives me some hope that our system works. When even our corrupt leaders think they can game the law and the law comes out on top. THAT I celebrate.

Remember the old song, "I fought the law and the law won"?

not even close

the law is based on a vote. a vote of the supreme court, a vote of a jury, etc, etc, etc.

just like science. science is based on a vote. period. when the preponderance of scientists, blah, blah, blah...

and when one side threatens to riot and burn the whole shootin match down if the vote doesn't go their way, well.........what we've seen especially in the last five years is people are scared shtless to be on the other side of that mob.

Well, six random women chosen from society stood up against the President, the media, the rioters and the prosecution and went the other way. And it was the law that lit the path.

I apologize for moving off the thread topic, but I can't let this incorrect statement go unchallenged. "The questions of science are never settled by vote, nor the opinions of a preponderance of scientists." In fact, though we all understand the practical meaning of the phrase "settled science," there is really no such thing as settled science.

Quote from Tsing Tao:

Fine, burn the whole city down. I'll get the popcorn

Yeah, I honestly dont care if they burn LA, NYC or Chicago.

Anytime you take it upon yourself to assault someone just remember that you cannot know the outcome of such an act. The moment you haul off and hit someone you subject yourself to outcomes that are out of your control including possibly being killed.

This is because from day one, witness one, the prosecution had couldn't present any facts that would support a M2 conviction. Their case was so poor their witnesses actually did more to corroborate the story of the defense rather than the prosecution. Even a left leaning judge couldn't help their case.
All this ever was, was a wanna be cop ran into a wanna be thug. This time the wanna be thug got killed. Next time it may be the wanna be cop. It's a roll of the dice. The MSM and Race Baiting Inc. wanted more out of it and the piss poor prosecutor took the bait.
The radical left isn't done with the case though. They'll now be pushing for the DOJ to bring "hate crimes" against Z. It's not that either, but that won't stop the show. Race MUST be the issue. It's pretty much all they got left.

What is it about Florida? Something in the water maybe? First we had Katherine Harris, and now the State Attorney Angela Corey. This is the woman who said her office was convinced that the screams heard on the 911 recording were those of Travyon Martin because they stopped with the gun shot!!! * :D

Ms Corey is the same brilliant State attorney who on May 16th gave her office's IT director, Ben Kruidbos, a raise for "meritorious service, and then fired him on July 12th because of his June testimony in conjunction with the Zimmerman case regarding his concern that Corey's office had not given all the information they should have to Zimmerman's defense team. "Kruidbos said he became concerned that lead prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda might not have turned over Kruidbos’ report to defense attorneys. Kruidbos asked White [an attorney he retained] in April for legal advice and described some contents of his report such as a photo of an African-American hand holding a gun, a photo of a plant resembling marijuana, and a text message referring to a gun transaction." All of which Kruidbos was able to download from Trayvon Martin's cell phone.

"The letter [to Kruidbos, firing him], which was written by Cheryl Peek, the managing director of the State Attorney’s Office, included the following:
'Your egregious lack of regard for the sensitive nature of the information handled by this office is completely abhorrent. You have proven to be completely untrustworthy. Because of your deliberate, wilful [sic] and unscrupulous actions, you can never again be trusted to step[sic] foot in this office.' "

*I'm still ROFLMAO at the impeccable logic here. In fact, if we continue this stunningly brilliant line of reasoning, it leaves little doubt that Trayvon shot himself, because the screams stopped. Obviously, if Zimmerman had shot Trayvon, and he, Zimmerman, was the one screaming, then the screams would have continued. Therefore the screams were not Zimmerman's, and Trayvon must have shot himself. :D :D :D :D (Maybe they need to subject these Florida Public servants to I.Q. tests before they hire them.)
