For the most part...yes. We error on the side of the innocent. We don't force the defense to prove innocence, we force the prosecution to prove guilt. The system works. It has for 100's of years. Look, OJ Simpson was guilty as sin. We all knew that. But the LA police fucked up that case. They fucked it up big time. And they paid the price. A murder walked free. But imagine the opposite. Where a case littered with bad information, tainted evidence, corrupt cops, biased judges and a society who could care less, well, you can convict anyone in that system. No sweetheart, the law indeed won tonight. And that same law that protected Zimmerman would do the same for you.
