Santorum won those areas with 30 some odd percent of the vote, against Romney who everyone knows to be a liberal, even if you were to say that Republicans will sweep the south with 60% of the vote against Obama, If Santorum only got 1/3rd of that vote in the primary, that would leave roughly 20% of the south as hard core social conservatives, who mostly care about social issues....it hardly represents the entire base..... based on that logic i could say that the entire base of the democrats is black, given the fact that Obama took 95% of 12% of the voting block..... Also do you really think that southern Dems arent also social conservatives?
