Quote from MarketMasher:
The prosecutor and defense should be looking for any prior vid recordings (from family/friends) of Martin's voice to compare to the 911 screams.
I'm thinking the voice is Zimmerman's in a panic, but there is a possibility of it being both mixed together if there was a struggle for the gun.
The screams could be from either once the fight for the gun began.
To Zimmerman, Martin would be a punk trying to get his gun.
If Zimmerman never identified himself as a Neighborhood Watch, to Martin he would just be a guy with a gun who had been following him.
The part about Zimmerman being jumped is hearsay, unless a witness account can verify it.
Otherwise, all you have is 2 guys fighting over a gun, each one figuring the other will shoot him with it.
Actually I've been trying all along to figure out where this bit about Martin jumping him came from, as there have been no witness accounts of how the two wound up fighting.
It appears to be a logical leap taken by the folks who don't think Zimmerman should go to trial, based on the idea Martin could easily outrun him. There also looks to be some thought that since he took a back way to get away from Zimmerman that he could easily have eluded Zimmerman, and had to have jumped him because there would be no other way for Zimmerman to catch him. Something like that.
It's not even hearsay. It's speculation.
