It appears that US voters have a choice between really bad ...and worse.... regarding the new impending leadership.
What I do notice is a parallel between Chavez and Obama in terms of knowing how to push the verbal hot buttons for the less well to do voters...This is a very simple game....It is all about getting a majority of votes....any way you can...
After reviewing the Obama tax documentation...this spells out quite clearly that Obama is not going to help the US...
Chavez made all these rhetorical promises to the majority.... less well to do voters...and so far has severely damaged the Venezuelan economy which will take years to rectify..if ever...
What I do like about Chavez is his will....but his economics and ancient socialistic beliefs will kill what´s left of Venezuela...
Obama also seems to have the will....but this man does not have a clue about what will create the necessary economics to help the US...and much like Chavez...will turn $1.00 into 50 cents....
Thus leaving a lot less to spread around....which is really what both of them are claiming to set out to do...

I think you're on to something in the analogy between Obama and Chavez. Personality cult leaders are inherently dangerous. People feel loyalty to them, not to the country or its principles. Like Chavez has done, Ican see Obama using the government to create armies of his supporters to go on the rampage anytime it is convenient for him.
People find Obama inspiring now and not threatening in the way a Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton came across. That could change after he is safely in office, particularly if his handouts to his followers do not pass congress.
