How serious would the threat have to be to bring back DDT? We're ok with millions of Africans dying from malaria. No DDT for them. If the children of rich elites were dying, I predict they would discover that DDT is actually not an environmental threat.

It runs non-stop on the news shortly before the Olympics. The media scares the shit out of everyone. They make all these claims that it is all over Florida and the south. Then the Olympics end and the story gets completely swept under the rug, never to be heard from again.

Why were MEN scared to the Olympics? Why did the media never tell you that unless you were a pregnant woman Zika is no worst than the flu? Why the hype, why the hysteria, why the nonsense?

You're openly hostile from the start, care nothing for points other than your own and consider yourself above everyone on the forum. In short, you're a blowhard. Perhaps if you were a bit more civil you'd get more discussion and less flame wars. I have a suspicion that you perform poorly in real life social situations.

Second, your initial post began with "Zika is a hoax." This opening salvo is pure horseshit. Zika is not a hoax. It represents a very real threat to a substantial portion of the population. You may not be in that demographic. I might not. That doesn't mean the threat to pregnant women isn't there.

You can say that the hype is overblown. You can state that the media made the issue bigger than it had to be. These would both be correct, in my opinion. But you didn't. You said it was a hoax, which is completely and totally inaccurate.

You're still surprised that a virus with newly found links to microcephaly, a virus which is incurable and sexually transmitted was a big story among countries whose populations were about to travel by the hundreds of thousands to at-risk regions? You're surprised that was a big story?
