Zero chance an impeachment trial helps the democrats

I agree that this impeachment will not help the Democrats. At this point this impeachment detracts from other important initiatives being driven by Democrats and their "Unity" message.

This impeachment trial will allow Republicans to endlessly underline that the Democrats don't want "unity" while at the same time allowing the Democratic legislative initiatives to be ignored for a period of weeks.

IMO the Democrats should seek to make this impeachment trial as short as possible and move on. Republicans should seek to make it as long as possible and use it as a platform for all of their grievances. At this point it is clear that not enough Republicans will cross over to convict Trump -- the results of this Senate trial are already "known".
 
RINO liberals who turned their backs on President Donald Trump and backed this one more bogus impeachment attempt will find that they will not be re-elected and kicked to the curb where they belong. Good riddance idiots.

Anyone who seeks to downplay the gravity of the attempted insurrection should question their loyalty to their own country. Using "unity" as an excuse to escape responsibility is such a transparent ruse as to be laughable.

My parents had no divorce or ever had a serious problem (no shouting) to speak of in front of us kids.

The whole appeal for unity after one side has done something just awful seems something learned by a kid in a disfunctional family? I'm not sure but who can possibly think this is how both sides forget and move on with dignity?
