Because this is a mockery of a most serious procedure I would like to see Donal Trump on the House floor as the only defense witness
He can sit at a desk and critique each EO Biden has signed. Hour after hour of Trump with every newsstation tuned in he can turn this into a maga-rally

How quickly would the networks go back to their gameshows

Trump does not feel down and out so maybe an impeachment trial will wake him up.

he is already out of office so the trial part seems useless at this point but GOP no longer fears Trump or his base in their re election. They have been marginalized through recent events as their only power is crying on social media.

GOP who voted to object to the election or made stupid comments more likely to be replaced by newer GOP in their next elections rather than flip.

I think Congress has more important things to do than this so really dont care about the trial.
