Hi,Feeling able to go to Starbucks, whew my day is done, might come round for FOMC and trade around that on ES/ZB
Actually have automated method following 40 markets for Report Signal, each weekend plug in dates/times of each market that is affected by their reports including grains/softs etc. Yep Gold is a goody.Hi,
Besides ES and ZB, are you trading GC after release of the FOMC statement/minutes ? It seems that gold futures is very sensitive to economic news.
Thanks.
Wake up early, and try to trade crude oil. Greet with chop for the past hour.........just woke up in the tub and forgot to post earlier. Yea, had an incredible night of party/drugs were incredible and woke up in the tub, wahooooo, actually just closer to the head......have the big tarp out, just easier day after treatments.
Moonmist: As you can see, not always chop in pre-market.
No Starbucks today.
YK,
My desire is; that all is going well for you Sir

Your welcome and hope you did well today, another fine day of trading Crude Oil and ES. Any day is fine to be able to trade for couple hours and walk away with money.Hi Handle,
I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for the chart.
Hi Handle,It just the same patterns, same time stops, same targets/risk ...........
I will get out fifteen seconds before a report as often times signals are generated to make market go wrong direction anyway and I could make $100, and my Report signal is now automated covering 40 futures, forex and handful of stocks, so often seconds after a report time, orders are placed, this method runs 24 hours. But on Report days, I will day trade ES pre-market by when that reports comes out.Hi Handle,
I agree. However, there are two exceptions:
a) I usually do not place any order five minutes before or after a major news release.
b) Crude oil often acts strange between 14:00 and 14:30 PM Eastern Time. For example, an ascending triangle was formed around 14:18 PM today. I decided to skip this signal. As usual, the setups I miss are usually big winners; the ones I love are usually losers.
If you see a good pattern during the above-mentioned period of time, would you just skip it ? Or would you trade it with the same rules for entry, exit and trade management ?
Thanks.
