YouTube bans Alex Jones

At the end of the day, Dems want to destroy the 1st and 2nd amendments. They only want speech that they agree with. They could careless about the Rule of Law and applying the law equally.

Again, that is exactly the problem.

I know it's a problem - because as always you pull claims out of your ass without anything to back them. MSNBC has Rachel Maddow on when Hannity is spewing Seth Rich conspiracies on Fox and here you are lying about how MSNBC is 'spewing' hate comparable to Alex Jones. What a hoot.

At the end of the day, Dems want to destroy the 1st and 2nd amendments. They only want speech that they agree with. They could careless about the Rule of Law and applying the law equally.

This is from the party that calls free press the enemy of the people, whose leader kicks out journalists and tells the cult to not believe what they hear or see. Ha!

If you cannot see the hatred and bigotry on MSNBC all day everyday, you are blind. This is a perfect example of what I just mentioned.

post the clips of this 'all day' hate, why do you lie so much?

I don't have a problem with Facebook with banning Alex Jones. However whatever their criteria is for the banning needs to be enforced consistently across the social media platform. If there is one set of rules for conservatives and another set of rules for liberals due to bias by Facebook employees then we have a problem which requires government regulation. In the same way that the government regulates that businesses cannot discriminate based on race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. -- there is a need in this era of social media to not regulate content differently based on political opinions.

Similarly the NFL can regulate what their employees do in terms of policies for promoting their social causes -- as long as the NFL applies the policy consistently for all the types of protest. Meaning that if they allow a BLM protest but not allow another type of protest -- then there is a problem. Of course, the NFL customers can boycott the games if they customers do not like the protest. The NFL's best path is not allow any "protests" by their players as a policy.

Regulate social media? Insanity

If YouTube or Facebook wants to become a den of commies, it's their prerogative.

Fox News correspondent resigns amid reports that network staff are sick of being a Trump propaganda channel

A Fox News correspondent has abruptly resigned from his job amid reports that Fox staff members are tired of seeing the network transformed into a pro-Trump propaganda channel.

The Wrap reports that Fox News foreign correspondent Conor Powell stepped down this week after nine years reporting for the network.

“After nearly 9 years, I have decided to resign from Fox News,” Powell announced on his Facebook page. “Those of you who have spoken to me in recent months, you will understand why I am leaving FNC.”

While Powell himself hasn’t publicly stated why he’s stepped down, a source within the network tells The Wrap that he’s just one of many people on the news team who are frustrated with the network’s emphasis on supporting Trump-loving opinion hosts such as Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Laura Ingraham over more hard news reporting.

“Lots of reporters are very unhappy with directions of FNC right now,” the source explains. “Fewer news shows. More opinion shows. Less resources for reporters to report.”

Fox News military analyst Ralph Peters earlier this year similarly stepped down from Fox News, while specifically calling it out for being a “propaganda” operation for President Donald Trump.

“Today, I feel that Fox News is assaulting our constitutional order and the rule of law, while fostering corrosive and unjustified paranoia among viewers,” Peters said in justifying his resignation.

I understand the need for consistency in the application of criteria for what is appropriate and what is not, but as an old fashioned libertarian, not a neo-libertarian, I am very uneasy with the government getting into regulating content of social media. It scares the hell out of me.
