Your Vaccine Passport

So not only can "Long COVID" appear months after a person was infected... but the maximum natural anti-body immunity to re-infection disappears after 9 months... and after a mere 3 months in most people.

Experts raise concerns on long Covid symptoms appearing after six months to a year from infection
NK Arora, chief of Operations Research Group, part of the national Covid task force, also said antibodies may remain in the system for three to nine months.

Quick Summary: Nearly 40% of people who had COVID do not develop sufficient anti-bodies to stop them from catching COVID a second time within 6 months. This aligns with other research on re-infections and the percentage of people being re-infected. Only vaccinated anti-body immunity will lead to herd immunity.

From the article:

From the analysis, the researchers created five categories based on how long antibodies lasted in an individual.

The first category, called the "negative" group, included the individuals who never developed detectable neutralizing antibodies. This group comprised 11.6% of participants.

Comprising 26.8% of patients, the second group is called the "rapid waning" group and showed varying early levels of antibodies that waned quickly.
The third category comprised 29% of participants and was called the "slow waning" group as these patients tested positive for antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 for up to half a year.

The fourth group, called the "persistent" group, comprised 31.7% of patients and showed little change in their antibody levels up to 180 days. The last group, or the "delayed response" group, covered only 1.8% of subjects and included those who showed a marked rise in neutralizing antibodies during late convalescence.

Similar to the United States, the U.K. has a large community of right-wing pundits who are opposed to vaccine passports. At this point it appears the U.K. is abandoning its proposed program. Of course, shortly the EU will be adopting vaccine passports -- so if the Brits want to go to Europe they will need to provide proof of vaccination. This would have been much easier for the Brits with a national vaccine passport program.

Britain plans to drop COVID-19 passports as a legal requirement for large events, The Daily Telegraph reported on Sunday.

The UK officials working on the review into COVID-19 status certificates believe there is no chance the law will be changed to mandate their use within the UK, the report added.

A government spokesman said in an emailed statement to Reuters that the COVID-19 vaccine certification review is still in process and no decision has yet been made.

There has been mounting concern over the prospect of vaccine certificates voiced by the UK's Conservative Party, as well as opposition lawmakers and civil rights groups. In April, Prime Minister Boris Johnson also signaled the ethical issues posed by COVID-19 vaccine certification. read more

Another country wises up! Pretty soon we'll hear about how no one can travel to Europe from anywhere because of the vaccination requirement. Which will be wonderful for Europe!

Royal Caribbean reverses, won’t require passengers on U.S. cruises to be vaccinated

Actually they did not reverse direction at all -- all passengers are still required to provide proof of vaccination if they claim to be vaccinated. What is DeSantis going to do about cruise lines requiring vaccine passports?

Let's be sure you still understand the following:

1) ALL passengers on Royal Caribbean will still be required to provide their vaccination status and proof of it if they claim to be vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated will be required to go through addition testing and follow other protocols on the ships -- which may include wearing a mask. “Those who are unvaccinated or unable to verify vaccination will be required to undergo testing and follow other protocols."

2) Royal Caribbean caters to families. Many children cannot be vaccinated yet. Due to this Royal Caribbean has followed the test cruise protocol to allow the cruise line to avoid having to stick with a 95% threshold for passenger vaccinations -- assuming CDC approval.

3) Celebrity Cruise lines, a subsidiary of RCL, is doing the first cruises out of Florida in late June. Celebrity Cruises still requires proof of vaccination and will meet the 95% threshold. Celebrity caters to an older crowd with fewer children onboard.

In a press release Friday announcing cruises for sale on eight of its ships from U.S. ports this summer, starting with Freedom of the Seas from PortMiami on July 2, the company said it will recommend passengers get the COVID-19 vaccine, but not require it. The announcement is a reversal from previous statements andvaccine protocols the company submitted to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last month that said it would require all passengers at least 18 years old and older to be vaccinated.

The recently passed Florida law crafted by the Republican-controlled state Legislature and promoted by Gov. Ron DeSantis bars businesses, schools and government entities across Florida from asking anyone to provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccination. Under the law, which takes effect on July 1, businesses can be fined up to $5,000 per violation.

Let's read the Royal Caribbean statement in this article -- "“Those who are unvaccinated or unable to verify vaccination will be required to undergo testing and follow other protocols, which will be announced at a later date.”

If you claim to be vaccinated then you must provide proof of vaccination before the cruise (aka "vaccine passport").

So no vaccine required. Hardly a passport. Thanks!
