9% so far on my $300,000. 20% -25% p.a. is my goal. Then try to get the account upto $2M+....easy life!

at $300k are you on portfolio margin or just reg T leverage with a retail account?

As far as I can tell, Lescor picks up nickels and dimes by picking off lazy orders. That's why he can't scale.

So now you are starting to understand what scaling means and why it matters? Glad to see you learned something from our discussion.

I've been through this argument with Lescor and his 400% annual returns and $110,000 account. Why these gods of trading are trading with such paltry accounts is a continuing mystery . . . I guess the definition of a real trader is that you never make enough to trade your own money.

Re-read my post and don't misquote me. I never said that was all my trading capital.

what do you mean? I just have a regular broker account I do not use margin. No day trading either.

you mentioned you had $300k in an account and I asked if it was portfolio margin which is about 6.7:1

reg t margin for a retail account is 4:1

:)

Quote from the1:

Exactly. When I first started trading I was trading a small account and did over 1000% my first year. It was more like gambling than trading. In fact, it was gambling. Now that I trade for a living my goal is to do 20% per year consistently and it's pretty damn hard. There's a big difference between trading 10k and 10M.

I am at 254% so far this year. But like the1 said I am at the point where my account is small and my money management isnt where it needs to be. I also know my strategy isn’t scalable so I have started looking elsewhere

up 8% currently, after having been up 85% YTD in april. Low-mid 6 figs accounts....currently trying not to completely blow up and finish the year positive and ahead of the broad-based benchmarks :-/
