It does not make the stories of Robin Hood factual, nor are the historical place names mentioned, or the actual giant oak tree still in Sherwood, any kind of "abundant archaeological evidence" that Robin and his merry men are anything other than fictional.

However Robin, Count Dracula, God and Jesus, do amount to just about having the same value of evidence . Perhaps the Count is slightly ahead.

Don’t you have any new “debating techniques”? In past threads you would pretend that I was making an extravagant claim when I was in fact saying the opposite. Go and read my posts and you’ll see that I am NOT claiming that archaeological evidence proves that the miracles were true. In fact, I said that one cannot prove that the tablets of Sinai were written by the hand of God using archaeology. I don’t know how I could be more clear.

Here are other things Ramsay discovered:

1. Critics thought that there was no Roman census but Ramsay found that there was indeed a Roman census every 14 years beginning with Augustus.

2. Critics thought Quirinius was not governor of Syria at the time of Jesus’ birth. Ramsay disovered that he was governor of Syria about 7 B.C.

3. Critics thought that noone had to return to their ancestral home for the census but Ramsay discovered that this was the case in an ancient Egyptian papyrus.

4. Critics said that the existence of the treasurer of the city of Corinth, Erastus, was incorrect but Ramsay discovered a city pavement in Corinth bearing the inscription “Erastus, curator of public buildings, laid this pavement at his own expense”

5. Critics assumed Luke’s reference to Gallio as proconsul of Achaia was wrong but the Delphi inscription reads “As Lucius Junius Gallio, my friend and proconsul of Achaia.”

Again, I could go on and on. I’m just saying that the Bible has proven exceptionally accurate historically and archaeologically.

And I ask this question again: where’s the evidence for the Book of Mormon and Atlantis? Those don’t even have the archaeological evidence.

That’s all I’m saying….

So you beleive in spiritual "beings", ie "demons", well practically every cult on the planet does to.
Missionaries didnt "discover" anything, its like saying columbus "discovered north america, he DIDNT, period.

Indeed, you just stated the bible hints at this, but your suggesting minerals, magnetism, natural forces (which you beleive is the work of god) are not spiritual?
Thats one of the ironies of christianity i suppose, that despite the fact god supposedly made everything, and loves everything in a godly way (stretching for adjectives here) most followers of the idea manage to hate everything, and regard most natural things as unclean or evil or something.


Was it actually, the first history book, and your so thrilled bits of it have some grounding in archeology that you have faith in it?

What about herodutus, who travelled extensively through the known world at the time-tonnes of stuff he wrote has been verified, archeologically, backed up by all sorts of scientific evidence.



He also claimed a race of three headed people lived somewhere in northern africa, among other things.

You won't really discover those territorial demonic powers until you are on the front lines of the spiritual war. I was driving up the freeway to pick up a buddy of mine. We were evangelizing people in a half way house, a really bad bunch for the most part, murderers even. We would take one or two of them to a black church about an hour away because it was fun, very loud singing and whatnot in the services and on the way over we would confess all of the sins of everybody in the car and we would start seeing into heaven, and these halfway house guys would be all amazed at how accepted they could be by God and be seeing stuff in the spirit and telling us about it. It is a pretty powerful ministry. Anyhow, I am driving along by myself minding my own biz when something hit me on the forehead and in an instant I don't know how to drive a car!! I was just flying along at 70 looking all around at the cars near me and trying to figure out how to drive!! I got it back in a minute or two. Realize this, I felt the thing hit me on the head but the windshield is intact, nothing physical hit me but the effect was real similar. We prayed later to find out what it was and pretty much had to conclude it was a territorial demon. It was too sudden to be anything organic in my head, I mean it was like taking a fastball to the forehead.

You believe or you know? If you believe, are you still looking, or have you stopped?

What about demons gathering together at vortexes?

Are there demons at Sedona?

I'm convinced you see a lot of demonic activity because you love them! Nothing wrong with that, I'm just noting how you seem to magnetize them. Why is that? Are you some kind of vortex for demons? I'm just kidding...but I might not be. Demons need love too, or is this morbid curiosity? Do you love demons because by contrast, they make you feel secure in your salvation? Except for a lady on a bus, I have not witnessed many situations where something vile is talking through someones mouth.

Most of the channeling these days is more eloquent than most humans, full of love vibrations, detailed, and solutions oriented. Do you really think the devil is behind all this? Is the devil that eloquent?

Why do you ascribe so much power to demons? Have you ever witnessed someone channeling a demonic message?

What is a demon, in your opinion? Why are you assuming they are attempting to decieve you via channeling? Do you really think they can say things that may cause you to lose your salvation if you listened to them? What kinds of things do demons talk about? Are they eloquent? Do they talk just like angels? If so, have you ever heard anyone channeling anything other than a demon?

How do you conclude that? it didnt occur to you, or anyone else, it may have been, for example, a "release" of energy from one of these "bad" people?
Maybe a leftover spirit, from the area, the "damned" biblically, telling you to drive more carefully?

A "demon", thats the best you could come up with??? Did your group consult with anyone who might have known, research the history of the location, or do anything that might have established a probable cause, or did you just "pray" on the matter?
