Does nobody use the "search" function any more. This has all been discussed before.
Quote from Cheese:

This will sound boring.
If the depressed or motivationless syndrome has become embedded, this will work.
A 3 phase remedy:
1. Consciously decide and commit irrevocably to killing the problem .. just saying you've got the problem is not good enough.
2. Read or re-read one of the books on positive thinking. This refreshes and reminds you and re-writes the back-up script for your mind.
3. Every day without fail use and repeat positive mantras by mentally reciting them when you get up and when you go to bed. They can be very simple stuff: "I have a lot I want to do. I want to trade. My life is good. My trading room means big success."

All this won't work overnight. But it changes your daily functioning references and you get lifts coming to your mood after say a couple of weeks or after a month and the problem will go away even if it takes 12 months totally. This will work whether the syndrome is light or has moved to the status of a serious impediment to your outlook.

(Besides that, i think many things here a discussed over and over again a lot times in different threads. But its not bad too put those in a new outfit.)

I know i am an ETaholican !!! Its my biggest burden. I will come over it one day. Dont fuck with me, because of it, its a serious illness.

You can find lots of nuggets here.
This is from Ash1972.
For me, reading it daily helps with discipline.

To succeed at trading long term you need to cut losses short and let winners run, within a set of rules that has a clear edge. You need to do what is statistically correct whether or not it feels right. That is *entirely* about controlling your emotional response to events.

Trading requires only average intelligence but a phenomenal level of psychological control or EQ. It's about completely transcending the limbic system, the reptilian brain of instant gratification.

I have a paper on my desk that says: "BE FEARFUL"
And I have a credo sheet that I read every morning to warn of the psychological traps I fall into (like not cutting trades because I want to "make back" the money I am down).

Do you find yourself continuing to repeat the psychological traps which you rehearse each morning? Do you find yourself in a fearful state when at your trading desk?

Not after I started reminding myself of them every morning. Oversizing. Not recognizing correlation risk. Missing the bigger picture. Focusing on small gains and losses instead of sticking ot the plan.

Fearful vs Greedy. It's naturally easy to think you are invincible and you are always right. Especially when things are going well. It's important to remember everything changes and it can change fast.

I do what i want and i dont give a fuck about what you think.
I am better than you, so go fuck your self.
