No slogans. If you're disciplined in your every day life you're likely to be disciplined in your trading. Discipline comes with experience and a venture through the school of hard knocks. Once you graduate you don't want to go back for more study, which lends itself to disciplined trading. At least hopefully. It's a bitch of a profession.
Good point, but it's funny how some people can be disciplined in their trading, but not their every day life...
Is there any substitute for self knowledge and market knowledge?

Again, you are right.
But what is the work on a objective wihout the right mindset.
With right i mean positive, motivating, forward pushing.
Everybody have bad moments, for example a losing trade, then you should know how to put yourself out of that bad feeling, before you do the next trade to make your lost money back.
This also, counts for all parts of life, of course.
