Herd Immunity needs about 94% of the population to be infected with Covid for Herd Immunity to kick in as the primary defense against Covid.
The scary aspect, the healthcare system can only handle about
40% of the U.S. population being infected with Covid. With the above two percentage numbers.
We had
+77% of the population being infected with Covid-19 and that caused many hospitals to reach a capacity level. It resulted in many patients having to be cared for in make-shift healthcare systems in tents outside, some Covid patients being treated in the parking garages of hospitals, some Covid patients put on hall-way floors of hospitals because there no longer any more beds...
Many Doctors, Nurses, and other healthcare personnel burned out.
+77% did that to our healthcare system and there was no Herd Immunity. Now imagine the death toll from that 77% being infected with Covid-19 and about
1,184,376 Americans losing their lives to Covid-19.
These Herd Immunity folks should do the math on how many Americans will need to die to achieve Herd Immunity considering they're looking at data of Covid deaths with just 77% of the population being infected that needs to reach 94% of the population being infected with Covid for Herd Immunity.
