Your Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccine

The services prepare to give anti-vaxxers the boot. The few remaining will either see the light and get vaccinated after their exemption requests are rejected --- or join the dozens in getting the boot.

Active US Army is 98% vaccinated; 10,000+ unvaccinated

More than 100 Marines kicked out of the service for refusing Covid vaccine
The Army also announced Thursday it has fired two battalion commanders over the order.

Fox was celebrating a bunch of people getting fired over zoom the other day. I wonder what they're take is on this

approximately 35,000 troops remain unvaccinated.
The left is over-hyping the numbers of un-vaccinated

And based on what we have been seeing -- the huge majority will get vaccinated when their exemption requests are rejected. A small number may have legitimate medical or religious exemptions. This will leave a few dozen unvaccinated which get the boot in the end.

I will note that it will be hard to get a religious exemption in the military when you already had to take all the other vaccines to serve. Likewise any condition which qualifies for a medical exemption -- is also a condition which will have you medically disqualified from serving further. So bottom line -- get vaccinated or get the boot basically.

The country has invested a few hundred thousand dollars into each solider....Does it make sense to throw that away for a extremely low risk of death

Does it make sense to have your military force broadly incapacitated due to illness? This is why military members are require to be vaccinated -- not only for Covid but other diseases.

If they'll risk troop readiness, not follow orders, and put others at risk, absolutely. It's clear as hell their loyalty is to one man and not the country

It's a drop in the bucket that is the defense budget

On Wednesday evening this week I attended a session of our local veterans club with our neighbors because my neighbor, a retired colonel in the Army, was presenting his military career. We all joined to support him. Most of the veterans attending are over age 60 with a small number under this age.

The meeting required that everyone be vaccinated and be wearing masks. Guests (us) had to show their vaccination cards outside and be signed in (by a veteran).

The interesting part -- during the meet & greet time it was very clear that all these veterans believed anyone not getting the Covid vaccine should be kicked out of the military. The basis of their mindset was "personnel must follow orders or be discharged". No debate over the vaccines themselves -- just follow orders or get the boot.

Exactly, even if you have objections to the vax, it's a discipline issue

DC vax mandate would disproportionately affect Black residents, data suggests
Only 39% of Black residents in DC are fully vaccinated
