My script says what I said months back, America is going to become the have been vaccinated and the have not been vaccinated and the first line in the sand will be the workplace. And low and behold here we are. Thanks.

Oh, and this is the setup for employers to follow suit so don’t expect it to be back tracked. The goal is to move in chunks. Feds, then large employers then small employers. You’ll see. Should all start moving in earnest September-ish.

I think that's roughly the FDA approval timeline. Employers will have fed blessing then.

Delta variant will also have peaked by the end of September too, following similar curves as the previous peaks and declines. No doubt you and Biden are already prepared to take credit for that too.

I think it's here to stay. I was worried when novel and we had no immunity, not so much anymore. I haven't looked at the stats of vaccinated fatality but wouldn't surprise me if it's now at "just the flu" levels. I've never gotten the flu shot and surmise the immunity I've gotten over the years has kept even the newest strains at bay. Same w/COVID?

Let's hope. Nevertheless I would strongly encourage anyone to get fully vaccinated against Covid, especially since we are lucky to have the new mRNA vaccines available in the U.S. It can be a very nasty virus.

Danny Meyer has joined a growing list of restaurateurs and bar owners across the country who are taking action to stem the spread of Covid-19.

The New York-based restauranteur behind Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) has announced all customers and employees must provide proof of vaccination to enter his 18 venues. That includes such New York restaurants as The Modern, Manhatta and Gramercy Tavern, along with Anchovy Social and Maialino Mare in D.C.

“If you really want to go unvaccinated, you can dine somewhere else, and you can also go work somewhere else,” Meyer told CNN Thursday. “I would call this a company policy rather than a mandate.”
