Your going to hate this brutal post

The market has no built in edge like a casino or racetrack and it is not inefficient. It is random. The market is odds neutral."</i>

I respect your personal view of the market, and concur 100%

That's more like it. I knew you were a man of reason.

<i>"Care to answer and help the trading community?"</i>

How would that help anyone?

<i>"That's more like it. I knew you were a man of reason."</i>

But of course I am. As a trader, you're hopeless. End of story

And you are a storyteller who dreams about success when you obviously have none. No successful trader would spend the hours you have posting in this forum just to kill time out of boredom; that's a red herring if there ever was one....unless, of course, you don't have a life. I have a vision of you sitting in front of your computer with a box of triscuits and can of Raging Bull at 3:30 a.m. searching the threads to hear yourself type and then becoming self-absorbed in those posts by re-reading them over and over again.

I have dozens of patients like you, so don't feel you're alone.

Congratulations in advance when you surpass the 1000 post mark, which I suspect will happen before the clock strikes 12:00.

Doc, I gotta hand it to ya... you sure are good. Waltz right into our little world here and you just tell us like it is. Very impressive.

I'm a RedBull and Wild Irish Rose kinda guy. I dunno, it adds something to the awe of seeing my words in print here, for the whole wide world to see. Imagine that... my own forum here... someone actually pays attention to me!

If only I had a life. Ya know, a home, little money, half-decent girlfriend, hobbies, pasttimes. Nope, none of that. All I got is this here forum to idle my time thru. I know, it sounds pathetic to a medical professional like you, what with all those patients you counsel & everything.

I'm busted. You win.

BTW... I've got a friend over in another thread you could probably ply your skills on, too. Here it is: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76297

Direct your expertise toward the OP... he goes by <b>Trader28</b>

He's probably sleeping right now, but will be very glad you stopped in to set him straight. That much I can assure you of.

Thank you for all the help!

I think it is better to be logical myself. Your posts sound straight out of a Napolean Hill book. The first test of logic any potential trader should apply is- what are the odds of my success as a daytrader? Multiply that by the potential rewards; Divide by the initial investment of time, energy and $$$, and it is quite a logical decision.. Perhaps one realizes that daytrading as an occupation is not good decision. Otherwise, PMA can ruin a man's life.

Well, guess we just think of different things when speak about "positive attitude".

For me it is looking at life as an endless school of valuable knowledge and experience full of possibilities for personality growth, it is believing that since I am ready to study and work as much and as diligently as it is needed to achieve my life goals they will definately be achieved etc. etc.

Shortly: "my" positive attidude has nothing to do with lazybones sitting and hoping instead of doing things necessary to make his dreams real.

But there is just absolutely no need to look at things under negative angle in cases when in reality nothing negative really happens, like the topic of this thread for example.

No successfull shrink (is that whay you claim to be?) would waste
his time here asking what indicators some one uses on the 5 and 15-min
time frame while in the next breath saying daytrading can't be done.

Go away. ET doesn't need you. Do your patients even need you?
Are you really a shrink or whatever? Give some proof. I bet you can't.

I bet you work at McDonalds during the night shift as manager for 22K a year...LOL...:p

I was trying to get a successful trader who bragged of his winnings to share some things for others not me. But he didn't. I don't trade and if I did, it wouldn't be with indicators. But most traders do use them (with no success I might add).

My proof of being a shrink is as good as this proof of success posted by that bragger.

You can believe him, me, both of us or none of us. Your next happy meal is on me. I assume your young enough to qualify for one :D

<i>"My proof is as good as this proof posted by a neurotic poster"</i>

OK <b>123</b>... 'fess up, please. What have I done to offend you?

Define "neurotic poster"... I've been here about 350 days and logged roughly 1,000 posts.

Please help me out with some intermediate math: how many average posts per day is that?

BTW... have you dropped in and said "Hi" to <b>Trader28</b> yet? He'd be really excited to hear from you, rest assured.

If one uses 'posts per day' as a comparison, you significantly lag his 23 posts/day with your 3 contributions per day average. Ironic, isn't it?
