to a leftist proposing spending a trillion extra dollars when you could have spent 5 trillion is budget cut.

To a leftist losing 5 million jobs during your term and then getting lower wage jobs back in their place gaining 5 million jobs.

To a leftist having a govt spend 3 dollars to gain a dollar of GDP is a good economics.

To a leftist spending more to fix a debt crisis makes sense.

what are you talking about

a. temperature rise has preceded the rise and fall of CO2 buildup through out earths history. I do not doubt CO2 is like a blanket that keeps heat in... I gave you that very analogy and told you it is the temperature rise which has caused the CO2 blanket to be put on.

b. after tax cuts revenues rise... economies have grown. It happened after Bush, Reagan, Kennedy , Melon. Some want to say but, but , but... I say no one really knows why... it could be lower taxes spur investment... it could be the spending causes inflation which temporarily helps exports and other things...
it could be both... but we see right now that crazy spending alone right now has not done the job. Because our govt has spent 3 or 4 bucks to get a dollar of gdp. (i forget the exact amount but I posted the article here on ET a month ago.)

What wee do know is that Keynes himself said the proper way to get out of a recession is to to cut taxes and grow your way out.
