You lost the election, you're going to lose on the fiscal cliff

Just to state a fact, the Obama administration could tax the top two percent of wage earners at 100 % of their reported gross adjusted income ( this is from the IRS reported income tier statistics on their website ) and I calculate that it would take about 20 years to pay off the existing national debt using CBO debt data. And the big "if" there would be that present spending levels are maintained. Which GW Bush and BH Obama could not do.

Go ahead and do that math. Use the CBO and the IRS data.

Entitlement spending will have to be cut. The size of government, including National Defense, will have to be cut. Sorry, that is the shit sandwich everybody will have to take a bite out of.

True BUT that isn't what it's supposed to do. President indicated the small tax increase on the top 2% is only part of the plan along with cutting spending. The reps are going to have to give on this or everyones taxes are going to increase. Cutting off your nose to spite your face, comes to mind. So the argument next goes to how to get our spending in order and if possible how to stimulate growth, which would be the painless way to get out of this. The line in sand is gone for the reps, they have to sit down for some serious working on our future, which means compromise.

the only people who would celebrate the 'no cuts' position winning in the cliff talks are the takers, everyone else gets screwed without so much as a movie and a drink (more porn for you that don't get around). QE and debt will destroy this economic system. The top 2% will escape anyway, they always do.

democrats have never wanted to get 'spending in order' will not happen.

I am coming more to the position of wanting higher taxes on the top 2% just so I can watch Buffet, Soros, and Hollywood try and backpedal when it gets too high, or watch them get out of town.
