You Longer Term Traders: Trend, Position, etc...What are your Primary Triggers to Enter a Position?

It depends on quite a few things.
But most anything can work on, QQQ. for example, in a bull market. They hit my resting exit order today early .
I tend to get back in, on strength or weaknesss, scale in .
I have QQQ charts going back to bear market when QQQ was $30.00 area.
Most likely i will not get back in qqq,FEB; got in another tech /stronger ETF, but smaller size. QQQ may sell off like last mid FEB.; if not i 'm stronger tech ETFs.
Actually i prefer stair stepping volume but its not necessary @ all

Zg- you can check out gme, before it popped. It’s a classic accumulation structure since June(that’s a lot of weak hands exiting). I wasn’t watching it, as I don’t do individual stocks, but using PnF, you could have gotten within 10% of the top. Relative volatility during the accumulation phase yields very strong hands. Silver is exhibiting this currently as is Bitcoin. All while the dollar is getting stronger (relative to other fiat currencies). I don’t do fundamentals, because nobody knows anything in macro econ, but if you need a story there, when everyone prints money, alternative currencies rally. ‍♂️ The map, I feel, is pretty easy to read right now.
i know exactly what you are talking about with GME, also look at SAVA same thing, big volume buying days as institutions take their positions...elevated volume with slow price increase shows buying...shares/supply dries up while demand increased and boom - big swing, big returns.

i am convinced that this is the way.
