thats the problem when it comes to market psychology, you think when the dow is running up for months and years that its only going to continue till one day you wake up and find it dropping more in one week then it rose in 5 years.

This work is filled with facts that contradict an "overly pessimistic" mindset about equities that has infected the media and the whole investment arena. The author has effectively refocused attention to the big picture and the long term.
