OK, so here's an interesting question. Nobody owes this guy anything, but would you be willing to give up some of your share if everyone else in the group did the same to give to him?
If he was my friend, and he always played but sat out this time, and he was a good guy, then yes I would throw him a few hundred k whether others did or not.
