the markets are moving up for now..full stop..and the markets will stop moving up when something major happens..not intc news or any other silly number!

we are currently around 1082..we have 3 upside targets..and they will vary slightly depending on how u trade..adjusted for same..

1. 1105 ~ 1109

2. 1135 ~ 1149

3. 1175 ~ 1199

now..there are 2 major things that can turn these targets on their heads..at any time..very very quickly..and..i have actually taken the first step in relation to these 2 major things..today..but very cautiously..and not committing too much money..but at the same time...covering my options:D

double tops..gifts..bla bla bla..how many actual traders have we got here anyway??????:eek:

and just to keep the OP happy..downside target

hows that gift amt4? for the record i shorted right near the close at 1088.75, we knew they'd hit 10k so why not wait.we'll have to see this could run to 1150 as exctiment is equal to 1999. i went small today and will keep adding

With no disrespect to the OP whatsoever, this market reminds me of the period in Sept- late Oct 2007, when the market just went up every single #$&())_^%$ day....what I refer to as a 'ratcheting-effect'.

The analogy I use is that of a roller coaster, as it climbs the ascent, driven by a chain. Hard to say if it'll again roll over and careen down, but I mostly want to draw attention to the manner in which it appears to be behaving, which as noted above, to me is similar to that earlier period.
 
I will chime in here, from what I have seen AMT knows how to trade. He hasn't really called a trade yet and has implied that he will start shorting above 1076 es, es is now around 1089.50 or so. My question to AMT is where will you stop scaling in at and how much heat are you willing to take on your trade?

The rest of the thread so far has been chit chat albeit amusing. My gut tells me GS will blow out earnings tomorrow, that said the market may roll over after the fact, then or course there is GOOG which can be spun either way. I don't give a shit about BAC although you can argue that they are important as well. On spy I am looking for a touch of
109.70 almost got there today. Momentum may take us to 110.50 or so I would look to take some shorts there but need at least a turn on the 60 minute time frame.
