They will be waiting a long time and their businesses going bankrupt. US in the meantime will move their companies in other Asian countries like Vietnam, Thailand, etc. Seek other exporters of goods we need. I think President Xi Ping and other top communist officials are gambling that President Donald Trump is not re-elected and they can just keep the status quo of taking advantage of the US! What they did not count on is President Donald Trump actually, having the cojones to ramp up and increase the tariffs on Chinese products! Can't wait for all Chinese products to have a 25% tariff. Then, we can wait out the Chinese. Either, they come to their senses and sign a fair trade deal or destroy their economy totally. We got time!

America has customers...in America. All the crap we buy whether it is made by a foreign company or U.S. company is made outside the U.S. anyway. China on the other hand as a so many hundred million consumers with real spending power that other countries will look for customers there.

I applaud Trump's effort to rectify trade injustices granted to others by prior administrations, but the reality is that he's under pressure to get something done within the time frame of our elections. The other side is not so constrained.
