I bet they love you at parties. You're the guy getting tarred and feathered right? :)

I say "I'm a futures trader" which creates the questions "what are futures" and "do you work for someone." Choose what you say based on your audience but remember that helicopter pilots get laid more often than accountants!

And even the guy picking up trash on the side of the highway may do better if he drives a nice car.

Anyone associated with Wall St., bankers, brokers, traders/speculators with become pariahs. Those in the financial industry will be looked upon with the same disdain as pedophiles.

Apart from family and close friends I wouldn't tell anyone that I use the stock market as my personal ATM. I'd rather tell people I pick up trash on the side of the highway.
