Lived in Hawaii twenty years and was never asked that question.

I remember a good joke:
Local boy said he saw a TV discussion about a possible four day workweek “and me and my buddies talked it over, and we don’t mind working another day.”
 
Just tell people your job is to sell the market to new lows whenever you can.

That should go over well, given todays market environment. Plus make sure to brag that you are making more money than you could have ever dreamed of, while their 401k's have gone to shit.

True.

But those in the know know that a stock broker is actually just a salesman. The only difference is they sell stocks rather than cars or insurance.
