OK Reaver. Thanks for your service. Its a shame our resources (guys like you) are mismanaged and countless people are put in harm's way for the greed and power of a very few. That's lousy and I feel bad about that.

Now you're not ex-military, are you? Because if you are, I'm going to have to take everything back I said as well (insert sarcasm). But I seem to recall some post Reaver made using the word 'fags' (source below). Should we overlook the type of person he is because he decided to put the uniform on? I know many male classical dancers are gay, and this would be considered pretty offensive by many people. Lets just suppose you are gay ... [it is immaterial if you are, seriously. I am trying to make a point] Would you as a gay person want to be friends with someone who spouts anti-gay rhetoric even if he fought in Iraq?

Now you making the connection between my being a little sarcastic (for the point of humor) and him 'defending my freedoms' are quite a stretch and contains a twist of irony. Because he is not defending my personal freedoms. He participated in a political maneuver of questionable planning with intent to enable our continued economic power in a region where we arguably don't belong.

Nothing US policymakers ever involving money and human lives to any substantial degree was altruistic in nature. And most recently, even none of it was defensive in nature (Afghanistan and Iraq were not defensive actions, which your statement of Reaver protecting my freedoms implies).

I'm not trying to take away from his service, which I respect as being difficult and admirable in itself. But you are portraying it as something it wasn't, and thats a line that shouldn't be crossed. Any delusion harbored that participating in these current military actions is protecting our freedoms is just that, a delusion.

At best, its a poorly thought out attempt to preserve an economic status quo (which with some creative argument you might attempt to equate with 'freedom').

Being in the arts you get to see women in all their glory, it also gives you the cream of the crop, so I had no problem with the situation ... none at all, hell still don't.

PULEASE, I virtually begged neke to manage his risk better, then when I stopped, a slew of other traders came by and admonished him to do the same ... all which he ignored and choose to go the path of roller-coaster gains and losses on his thread (you probably thought that was good trading).

All the non-traders at ET seemed to love'em though, speaking of loving somebody, LOL. But that isn't good trading, the game is all about risk management - don't belive me, take a look at a guy named Victor Neiderhoffer, an absolutely brilliant, and extremely well educated, man. (you wanted me to teach you something, so there, you got it). :D

Hell, neke even admitted he desperately needed to be more disciplined and manage his risk better also, time and time again.

Never went to Iraq....

Afghanistan was where all the fun was in my day.

See I am not saying I'm better than anyone because of my service, but I will tell you this much, it is as damn good an education as college fucking piece of paper degree, which is the POINT of this thread in the first place.

One more thing I'd like to add, you're comparing the US policymakers' intentions with our service members' intentions...

I guarantee each and every one of those people over there in uniform believe/d they were fighting FOR THIS COUNTRY.

Many of us were naive and fooled, but believe me none of those boys sign up to be used as tools of the government, they are doing it because they BELIEVE in this COUNTRY.

I am taking myself out of the equation, I don't want any special treatment, but you need to get your shit straight about your facts.

Our boys over there then and now all believe/d in their heart of hearts that they were doing what was best for this country.

Trust me I know. We've talked.

We may see shit a little different once we get home and get out and have a little distance...

But there were people who DIED believing they were protecting this country. They sacrificed their lives for that belief.

Fuck those asshole congressmen and corrupt politicians who are using the military for their own personal gain, but don't confuse what the policymakers think with what the military members think.

They did the shit for YOU.
