You Can't Trade Without A College Degree!!

I think the only people that should go to college are those that can afford it and have the spare money for it.

I don't believe one should go into debt, the future is unknown and starting live in debt seems to be worse than living in a lower 'bracket'

In the old days only those wealthy enough for college went, now everyone thinks they deserve it.

This whole self-absorbed thinking that everyone should receive a higher education is based on 'theory', and this theory has ruined the economic chances for the lower wage bracket.

If you can't effort something and don't have the money Work.

You think that college is a scam because you haven't seen any reward (and most people don't). You have no idea how many people go to college because they feel like it's expected, and assume once they finish they are guaranteed a good job. They never get anything out of it, and struggle to find work as much anyone with no degree.
People who work hard and get everything out of their college experience will have less trouble finding work. It's the people who just look at it as a ticket to a good job, thinking that once they finish they can stop learning, that end up wasting a lot of money and feeling scammed.

LOL again, college is great for those WHO WANT TO WORK FOR SOMEONE ELSE IN LIFE.

Youngtrader is a smart dude, I can tell by his journal and many of his posts, especially if you consider his age.

Some people do not need college to succeed, it is as simple as that. I am trying to be fair about it, and have mentioned that some people may very well need college or do better if they go to college....but it's the damn plain truth that some do not need it.

If you are totally honest with yourself you will know if you need it or not.

I totally agree with Reaver on this point here.

One thing that collage's are starting to add to thier curriculum is MSFE (Masters of Science and financial Engineering). I have looked into it and it is pretty good stuff. I didn't opt for it because my trading is going pretty good so far......

But for the most part, if some one is going to go the route of being a trader, I just dont really see how collage is going to offer any edge to being a more profitable trader.

And something i get a kick out of is all these collage people on here that talk all that what if you fail B.S..... I have never attempted anything in life with the attitude of what if I fail. I have looked at every undertaking as a task that if done correctly success will be achieved, (spend the time) figure out how to do it and go do it.

That what if you fail attitude just seems like a real wishy washy way of looking at things..... just my opinion.....

Okay, wallnbroad, if you are making so much money trading, why do you want a JOB in the business?

While you certainly don't need a degree to be successful, there are many jobs that require one to get an interview. That is the fact. I have worked for people that were as stupid as dog crap, but they had degrees and kissed ass and viola, they are huge successes.

And on Wall St., because the jobs pay so much, they look for Ivy league educations. I have worked with people from Ivy league schools, and their education is no better than mine. But it sounds terrific to employers. And because everyone on Wall St. (majority) went to Ivy schools, they look for those people.

It's just one of the "FACTS OF LIFE"; those things that are not fair, and many times don't make sense, but those are the facts, Jack.

LOL yeah really. I think he said his dad is a big player in the markets...I am sure what he could learn from his dad and on his own is more than any university can teach about the markets.
