I dunno...the brains at LTCM seemed to do well with THEIR Phd's.....until they blew up and lost all their money. I guess a dumb schmuck like me has no choice but to keep turning my PC on at 9AM...trade until 11:30AM...make enough scratch to pay my bills...then retire for the day to do a little Tarpon fishing. I just can't take this randomness too much longer. Oh well.

look, you can doubt my game theory chops all you want, but i spent a couple years playing poker and have over 20,000 hands of poker data saved in Poker Office over the time i played.
i found that the skills that i used in poker (and poker is ALL about assessing risk - pushing your edge when you have it, and laying off when you don't) translate very well to trading
i am not a mathematician. i do know a fair amount of statistics, because i had to during grad school (for psychology) and undergrad.
but there are obviously people who know far more about it than me. regardless, it is clear that any moron who thinks that price is distributed normally (again, look at the examples of market crashes and sigma-10 events) does not want to look at reality
the reality is that the market only moves when supply exceeds demand and vice versa. it's HUMAN decisions that move markets, and human decisions are chaotic- they are not unpredictable.
winning traders will continue to apply ACTUAL wisdom and knowledge to make a living trading, myself included
pointy headed wannabe academic morons will continue to espouse many theories that are divorced from reality. the tabula rasa gender theory was one i mentioned. EMH is another
the facts do not match your theories, so like all ideologues, you ignore those facts that run counter to your pet theory.
