When you've had your fill of those posts intended to psych you out, and certain condescending attitudes toward you as a "newbie", you may see what prompted me to post this.
Yes, I've noticed that there are many here that post quite discouraging remarks towards new traders. (I guess even I could qualify as one of those.)
I'm not particularly worried to be honest. I have two brothers who have done phenomenally well in the markets. I couldn't ask for a better hand to guide me. That's if I decide to pursue short term trading. I'm still not entirely convinced of its efficacy (over and above long term investing), despite considerable first hand evidence I have to the contrary.
I suppose if you have adequately prepared then you don't have any reason to doubt you have a chance. I do wish you well on your path.
