Phone service is possibly one fith the cost 20 years ago, high speed internet is above 64Kbaud dial up, 480P on a solid wooden frame TV is bygone, George Bush era discounted USD by 40%
I say let's bring back Ma Bell, Compuserve and adjust the 5 VHF/UHF channel rabbit ears and scale the roof to tweak the antenna, (No, not towards geosynchronous orbit).
I pay for 140MB throughput , get 10 MB, and and Relatively pleased on my recliner.
That is not to say that Comcast is not evil, but....
There was a time when thousands of people would walk past an empty telephone
booth in Times Square, nothing pressing to say.

look..in russia they were paying about $10 a month for internet that covers unlimited data on your phone(i know,it's shitty,but it works),calls and internet at home. my point is that they are using EXACT SAME INFRASTRUCTURE. same fiber cables,same equipment that was made and developed in US. and somehow providers are STILL profitable. while i'm paying $200 a month for a shitty mobile phone plan and another $100 for decent fios internet.
