many people misunderstand the "being special" as privileged or spoiled - the fallacy of the US educational system and general pop psychology.
Even as speculators this creeps in and people's ego and self-grandiosity will get the best of them.

well if we nitpick...as a teacher(as the speaker is) there is a BIG difference, of training - pertains to non school knowledge, taught -pertains to classroom, and tutored - is on the side after school or summer catch up, so next year won't bury you.
For example as a novice trader you are not taught in a classical sense, but showed the rudiments and monitored (like coaching), as trading cannot be taught, only showed the basics, same as violin, or football for the jocks. You see?
