until you have failed,, many many times,,, and then are humbled to understand that to succeed at this is really just to survive

You are not a true trader until the very things in trading that once caused you the most pain have been mastered, these same setups now provide you with large gains.

Somehow trading makes a trader humble, getting smacked around the ears is par for the course, hard to imagine a top trader being smug as the beatings are relentless. :)
It's like a bee keepers job, being stung after a while feels natural.
 
Not a trader until.....
Can resist temptation to place trades at inappropriate times.

What I wish to describe is, traders enjoy trading. Right?
Well like a kid in a candy shop, resist the urge if you can to partake of the candys dangling in front of your eyes.
Unfortunately I am guilty of taking temptacious juicy looking trades when there is a fire about to rage at the back of the shop and I should just get the hell out.
