You are more likely to become a top Hollywood actor or popstar than profitable trader

Firstly , there are some incredibly unhappy people on this site.

My advice to any Newbie would be to stop reading this site and go back to the screen. Turn off all your indicators and watch price. Watch the intraday waves from open to close day in day out . You will see a pattern , if you trade only this pattern and nothing else you will make money . It is this repitition of action that will skew the odds in your favour .

Newbies:
brokers don't want you to learn the fact that there has never been a profitable daytrader in the long run.
They just want to get 25% or so of your trading capital as commissions.

You are being suckered.

i disagree... personally i know a few successful traders... but i do not know any popular actors or pop stars... and yes, i live in california

Newbies:
He's just a shill, pretending to be a profitable daytrader to lure you into commissions-generating daytrading.

There has never been a DOCUMENTED case of a profitable daytrader.
Everyone has seen (on TV or big screen) actors and popstars.

You are the one that isn't a real trader and your performance record is made up.

You are changing your assertion now.

From your thread title:

You are more likely to become a top Hollywood actor or popstar than profitable trader

Now you are changing it to:

You are more likely to see a top Hollywood actor or popstar than profitable trader

I have no problem with you warning newbies that it is not easy to become profitable trading or day-trading. And it is true. But you kept accusing those who disagreed with you being a shill. You are the same as an ostrich who buried his head in the sand.

Threads like this show just how worthless this forum is. It's become 99.9 percent worthless, the owners of this site don't care about traders or this shit wouldn't go on. Stop wasting time on this forum and spend more time watching the DOM.

I agree. This forum show you how hard trading really is... imo, the OP doesn't believe in others because the OP obviously doesn't believe in him/herself. The OP has to talk down others to reinforce the belief that they are not really in the minority of something good. They are in the majority of something not as good and so possible. An example is, say somebody beats you in basketball fair and square. You can say something like "you are never going anywhere" to make yourself feel better. You say this because deep inside you believe that you yourself are probably not going to the nba and you are in the majority. It might even make you feel better... the moment you say it.

Billy,

Take the poster for what he is . . . a lunatic. Most of us understand that and just like to poke the moron when he starts ridiculous threads.

The majority of threads on this site are not worthless. Remember one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole basket, simply put it an air tight zip lock till it dies.

Jalee, you're overthinking it, Garcia is just a troublemaker plain and simple.

:)

I think he lashes-out because he's frustrated by his unsuccessful trading efforts. Hey, if trading the markets were easy everyone would be rich.

Trading can be either like "fishing in a dry hole", or "finding money in the street"... depending upon what you know and your discipline.

:D

Newbies, take heed of this guys words. cgarcia is telling the truth. Don't become a mindless screen monkey. You'll waste your life away searching for the holy grail.
